Grounding protects the components from the static electricity that can be naturally present (electrostatic discharge, ESD).
Notice: Risk of damage to the equipment due to electrostatic discharge. Always: Touch the working surface before touching electronics.
Ideally: Use ESD protective equipment, such as ESD table mats and grounding cords.
Install Compute Module 5 onto the Compute Module 5 IO board.
Install the Raspberry Pi cooler onto the Compute Module 5.
Place the IO Board into the base of the Case.
Align the four mounting holes.
Secure the IO board to the base with four M2.5 × 19 spacers (supplied).
Orient the fan connector according to the reference photo.
Position the fan bracket board atop the mounting spacers.
Secure the fan bracket board to the spacers with four M2.5x5mm screws.
Position the fan atop the mounting spacers on the fan bracket board.
Align the fan mounting holes.
Apply even pressure on all four corners until until you feel/hear all four mounting points click into place.
Separate the top of the Case from the base by unscrewing the M3 screws located on both side panels.
Place the top of the case over the base and secure with four M3 × 4 screws.
